Chorley and South Ribble CCG and Greater Preston CCG are working in partnership with the other six CCGs in Lancashire to review clinical policies across the region.
The eight CCGs in Lancashire (Lancashire North; East Lancashire; Blackburn with Darwen; West Lancashire; Blackpool; Fylde and Wyre; Chorley and South Ribble; and Greater Preston) agreed the need to review and harmonise a number of the policies that are used to determine the care and treatment people receive.
In order to ensure that this is done in a consistent and fair way across the county, the CCGs have agreed to develop joint polices where possible. To support these polices the CCGs are reviewing the agreed set of principles that underpin the current policies.
Members of the public are invited to attend a public forum to learn more about the principles and give their views on them. Comments will be fed back to the CCGs and the working group as part of the development process.
The forums will be held as follows:
Tuesday 5 January
4pm - 6pm and 6.30pm - 8.30pm
Melrose Room, St Cuthbert’s Church, Fulwood, Preston, PR2 3AR
Friday 8 January
10am - 12noon and 1pm - 3pm
Conference Room, St Ambrose, Church, Leyland, PR25 4XA
To book a place, please contact Rashda Iqbal on 01282 644 627 or email email@example.com.
Further opportunities will be made available for public involvement and feedback, including surveys and further public forums/focus groups on individual clinical policies (such as cosmetics, IVF, tonsillectomy) as and when they are developed and available for discussion.
You can give feedback on the prinicples that underpin the policies by completing a short online survey. The statement of prinicples can be found below. The deadline for completing the survey is 7 January 2016.
