This information has been produced to help you understand how the CCG uses social media. 'Social media' covers various online and mobile technology tools which enable people to communicate easily and share information and resources. Social media can include text, audio, video, images, podcasts, and other multimedia communications.
Our main corporate social media accounts are:

These are managed by the communications team at the CCG and you can send any questions or comments about our use of social media to us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We share lots of different information on our social media sites, including:
• News releases and events relevant to people and services in Lancashire
• Retweets and shared links from other health and social care agencies, voluntary sector organisations and partners.
We monitor social media activity during office hours and will always do our best to get back to anyone who contacts us as quickly as possible.
We don't routinely monitor social media out of office hours or on the rare occasions our internet service is unavailable. Office hours are Monday until Friday, 9am – 5pm.
Our communications and engagement team attend many events and we often tweet from these events to share what is happening with our followers.
Replies and direct messages
We are not able to respond to clinical or medical questions via our social media sites, but we may signpost you to where to get information, advice or support.
Our decision to follow a particular Twitter user, or Retweet (RT) any posts, does not imply endorsement of any kind on the part of our organisation. We follow accounts on Twitter we believe are relevant to our work. This could include following the Twitter accounts of companies and other commercial enterprises (and/or their employees) who comment on NHS related issues.
CCG staff tweeting
Some CCG staff tweet under their own names or pseudonyms. Despite their professional affiliation with the CCG, their tweets do not represent the official position of the organisation, and should be considered the product of each individual as a private citizen.
Press and social media
